Each Pennsylvania school district and charter school is expected to complete the Pennsylvania Environmental Literacy Indicator Tool (ELIT) survey by the end of August, 2015. This tool will help local and state school systems collect important information that will work towards advancing the implementation of environmental education efforts in the mid-Atlantic region.
Join presenters David Bauman, Science Education Advisor in the Bureau of Curriculum Assessment and Instruction at the Pennsylvania Department of Education, and Karen Lehman, Youth Development Project Manager at the Center for Schools and Communities as they outline the goals of the ELIT survey. This webinar will give a brief history of the project, why it is important to complete the survey, and when the aggregate data will be available. Learn about environmental education classroom resources that your district could obtain through a random drawing of those who complete the survey.
The ELIT survey directly supports the Environmental Literacy Goal and Outcomes of the new Chesapeake Bay Watershed Agreement.
