Healthy Schools: Clean Air, Clean Water, Pest Free

During this webinar session participants will hear from three individual presenters on important topics related to healthy schools.

 

Lisa Donohue, Lead in Drinking Water Expert, will speak on “To Test or Not to Test?” That is the question about lead in drinking water.  The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) will present the 3 Ts (Training, Testing and Telling) guidelines to assist schools with lead in drinking water prevention programs.

 

Lorna Rosenberg,  Green and Healthy Schools Coordinator, Region 3 EPA,  will present the what, why and how of good air quality in schools with her presentation, “ Using your School as a Laboratory: Investigating Indoor Air Quality”.

 

Michelle Niedermeier, Community Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and Environmental Health Program Coordinator, will present on IPM for schools.  Topics covered will include pests, (such as cockroaches, mice, bed bugs, head lice, ants), pesticides, asthma and other human and environmental health impacts.
